Agartala, August 27: Aiming to make Tripura the state with the highest number of BJP members in the region, the ruling party organized a workshop in Agartala on Wednesday as a prelude to its upcoming major membership drive.
Tripura BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, speaking at the Muktadhara auditorium, announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially launch the nationwide membership drive on September 1.
The event was attended by Chief Minister Manik Saha, the party’s national general secretary Dushyant Gautam, and other senior leaders from across the state.
Bhattacharjee highlighted that during the previous membership drive, the BJP had enrolled 6.5 lakh members in Tripura. This time, the party aims to surpass that figure, setting a new record for the highest number of members in the region.
He added that to achieve this, the party has initiated training programs for its top leaders, who will further train and create awareness at the grassroots level to ensure the drive’s success.
