Agartala: August 11: Despite the strict vigilance of the Border Security Force (BSF) at the Kamal Sagar border, instances of infiltration persist. Early on Saturday morning, BSF personnel apprehended two Bangladeshi women in the Madhupur godown area. The women were subsequently taken to the Harihar Dhola BSF camp for interrogation.
Following a prolonged interrogation, the detainees were handed over to the Madhupur police station on Saturday night. The women had entered the state illegally with the assistance of Indian agents. Train tickets from Agartala railway station to Kolkata were recovered from them.
The Officer-in-Charge of Madhupur police station identified the detainees as Farzana Akhtar from Gazipur district and Aref Begum from Bogra district in Bangladesh. The police produced them in court on Sunday.
