Agartala: August 09: BSF women jawans successfully foiled a smuggling attempt at the border, seizing 16 kg of cannabis and a large quantity of sugar. This information was revealed in a press release issued by the BSF today.
According to the statement, late last night, two women BSF jawans noticed suspicious activity near a fence in the Kamalasagar area of a border outpost in West Tripura district. They immediately alerted nearby jawans and intensified surveillance.
Shortly after, the women jawans observed a group of around 30-40 individuals approaching the border with bamboo sticks, sharp weapons, and sugar. Despite the danger, the women jawans attempted to stop the smugglers, who then attacked them. In response, the jawans fired one round from their pump-action guns.
