The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, called on the Hon’ble Defence Minister of India, Shri Rajnath Singh, in New Delhi today and discussed the security and other developmental activities of the state.
During the meeting, the Hon’ble Governor extended an invitation to the Hon’ble Defence Minister to inaugurate ‘Prerna Sthal’ in Bardang, Singtam. This memorial is dedicated to the brave soldiers who lost their lives during the unfortunate incident that unfolded in the state on October 3rd and 4th, 2023.
The Hon’ble Governor also commended the Hon’ble Defence Minister, Plans include the construction of a dedicated site in their memory of the courageous soldiers. This site will serve as a tribute to their bravery, showcasing their stories and conveying a humanitarian message. It will also express profound respect for the families of these brave soldiers.
