Agartala, June 03: Sri Ashok KK Meena, Chairman and Managing Director of the Food Corporation of India (FCI), visited Agartala on a one-day trip. During his visit, he inaugurated the newly constructed Divisional Office building at Nandannagar, Agartala. Additionally, Sri Meena met with the Honorable Governor to provide updates on the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and the newly constructed FCI godown in Sabroom.
The FCI Chairman unveiled the Divisional Office building, emphasizing its importance in streamlining FCI operations in the region. The modern facility is expected to enhance administrative efficiency and facilitate better coordination. Sri Meena held discussions with the Honorable Governor, sharing insights into the NFSA implementation in Tripura. He also briefed the Governor on the state-of-the-art godown constructed by FCI in Sabroom, which was inaugurated on June 1. As the FCI continues its efforts to strengthen food security and distribution networks, these developments mark significant milestones for Tripura’s agricultural infrastructure.
