Agartala: May 13: Family members of a 15-year-old minor girl are expressing anger over the police’s handling of an abduction case that has stretched on for the last 12 days. The incident occurred in the Madhupur Thana area of Sipahizla district.
According to reports, the young girl was allegedly raped by a man from the Kamala Sagar Mia Para area. After forcibly taking her from her home and placing her in a car, the girl did not return that night. Her family initiated a search and subsequently filed an abduction case at the Madhupur police station against the suspect.
Despite continuous communication between the family and the police, there has been no significant progress in locating the missing minor. Frustrated by the lack of action, today, members of the Hindu Jagran Manch, along with the girl’s family, surrounded the Madhupur police station. They demanded answers regarding the delay in rescuing the girl.
Unfortunately, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) was absent during the protest, leaving the investigating officer unable to provide a satisfactory response to the concerned family.
