Agartala: May 10: In a heartwarming display of compassion, former Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Kumar Dev, stepped forward to assist a two-year-old child in need. The toddler, a son of day laborer Arjun Tripura from Madhyam Krishnapur in Radhanagar village panchayat, suffered burns after accidentally falling into a hot pan while playing. His face and other body parts were severely affected.
Despite the family’s financial struggles, Arjun Tripura manages to support his five-member family through daily wage work. When news of the child’s accident reached Biplab Kumar Dev, who also serves as a Rajya Sabha MP, he promptly dispatched a representative to Shantir Bazar District Hospital. The representative liaised with doctors to assess the child’s condition.
Biplab Kumar Deb’s office immediately provided 50 thousand rupees in financial assistance for the child’s treatment. Grateful for the former Chief Minister’s support during this difficult time, the injured child’s family expressed their heartfelt thanks.
