Agartala, April 25: In a significant step toward combating malaria, Governor Indrajit Sen Reddy Nallu inaugurated the observance of World Malaria Day at Solanki Hall in Raj Bhavan. This annual event serves as a platform to raise awareness about the control and elimination of malaria.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Nallu emphasized the collective responsibility to eradicate malaria from the state. He urged all stakeholders to unite in this crucial endeavor.
Naina Das, Joint Director of the National Health Mission, extended a warm welcome to the attendees. State Malaria Officer Dr. Abhijit Das provided detailed insights into the ongoing efforts to combat malaria.
Among the dignitaries present were Dr. Ranjan Biswas, Chief Medical Officer of West Tripura District, Dr. Amlendu Dutta, Raj Bhavan’s Medical Officer In-charge, and Dr. Manik Ray, Medical Officer.
