Agartala, April 20:The Red Shield Division of the Indian Army took a proactive step in fostering a culture of sportsmanship, discipline, and fitness among the youth of Agartala by organizing a Badminton Tournament.
The event aimed to divert the attention of young individuals from the growing menace of drugs and instill in them a sense of purpose and national pride.
During the three-day tournament, participants from various renowned schools in Tripura showcased their badminton skills while also engaging in interactions with army personnel.
This provided them with valuable insights into the role of the army in safeguarding the nation’s security and sovereignty, motivating many to consider a career in the armed forces.
The tournament concluded on Saturday with a ceremony where senior army officials distributed prizes and certificates to the deserving players.
