Agartala: April 10: In a scathing address at an election rally, opposition leader Jitendra Chowdhury lashed out against the ruling BJP, accusing them of pushing the country to the brink of destruction. His fervent plea echoed through the crowd as he emphasized the urgent need to reclaim the nation’s path.
Chowdhury minced no words, asserting that the BJP government had failed to deliver on any of its promises. Instead, citizens grapple with soaring prices and a growing unemployment crisis. The once-promising trajectory of development now appears to be regressing.
Under the BJP’s rule, Chowdhury contended, the country has become synonymous with disgrace and decay. Accusing the government of looting the nation, he rallied support for the Indian National Congress (INC) candidates in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Rajendra Reang, the CPM candidate for the East Tripura Lok Sabha seat, echoed the sentiment. He stressed the critical importance of these elections in safeguarding democracy. Despite six years in power, the BJP has left promises unfulfilled, leaving citizens to face mounting challenges.
The rally also featured other INC leaders, including Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Birajit Sinha and former chief minister Samir Ranjan Barman. As the political landscape heats up, voters brace themselves for a pivotal decision that will shape the nation’s future.
