Agartala: Apr 06: In an upcoming exercise of democratic rights, Tripura is gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections, with a total of 28,60,287 voters set to cast their ballots. Among these voters, 14,36,644 are male, 14,23,574 are female, and there are 69 registered third-gender voters.
The West Tripura Lok Sabha seat will witness 14,63,526 voters exercising their franchise. Of these, 7,34,133 are male, 7,29,337 are female, and 56 belong to the third gender. Meanwhile, the East Tripura Lok Sabha constituency will see 13,96,761 voters heading to the polls. Among them, 7,02,511 are male, 6,94,761 are female, and there are 13 third-gender voters.
Notably, there are 18,538 voters aged above eighty-five. Among this group, 7,437 are male, 11,101 are female, and there are no third-gender voters. In the West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency, 9,596 voters will cast their votes, with 3,768 being male and 3,669 female. Similarly, in the East Tripura Lok Sabha constituency, 8,942 voters will participate, with 3,669 male voters and 5,273 female voters.
The state also accounts for 19,225 Divyang votes. Among them, 11,771 are male and 7,454 are female, with no third-gender voters. In the West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency, 8,213 voters are expected to exercise their franchise, including 5,171 male voters and 3,042 female voters. Likewise, in the East Tripura Lok Sabha constituency, 11,012 voters will head to the polls, with 3,669 male voters and 5,273 female voters.
