Agartala, Mar 26: The High Commission of Bangladesh commemorated the Great Independence and National Day of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on March 26. The solemn event took place at the commission’s office premises.
As part of the observance, the Bangladeshi national flag was raised, and floral wreaths were reverently placed at the portrait of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. A poignant minute of silence was observed in honor of Bangabandhu and the family members who lost their lives during the struggle for independence. Additionally, the martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice in the great liberation war were remembered.
Special prayers were offered for the souls of the departed martyrs and for the continued prosperity of Bangladesh. The program was attended by Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner Arif Mohammad and other dignitaries.
