Agartala, March 21, 2024 — The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) convened a crucial organizational meeting today to strategize its campaign efforts for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the East Tripura constituency. Top leaders from the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) and Tipra Matha were also part of the discussions.
The meeting, chaired by the BJP-nominated candidate for the East Tripura seat, Maharani Kriti Singh Debbarma, witnessed the presence of distinguished figures including Chief Minister Professor (Dr) Manik Saha and State BJP President Rajeev Bhattacharya.
As part of their election preparations, the BJP has initiated a door-to-door canvassing program in the West Tripura constituency. Simultaneously, the campaign program for the East Tripura Lok Sabha seat is nearing its finalization. The BJP is poised to commence campaigning in the East Tripura constituency soon.
In a bid to foster collaboration, the BJP aims to engage in dialogue with its alliance partners, the IPFT and Tipra Matha, prior to the official campaign kick-off. Recognizing Tipra Matha’s significant influence in the Janjati Mohalla, the BJP seeks their cooperation in ensuring a robust campaign.
Within the next two days, the BJP will hold conclusive discussions with its partner parties to fine-tune the campaign program. Today’s organizational election meeting at the provincial office delved into detailed deliberations about the East Tripura seat candidate. Notable attendees included East Tripura Constituency Election Management Committee Convenor Tinku Roy, Assembly Speaker Vishwabandhu Sen, and State BJP General Secretary Amit Rakshit.
The BJP remains committed to a fair and transparent electoral process, emphasizing cooperation and unity among its allies as they gear up for the Lok Sabha polls.
