Agartala, March 8, 2024: At the first anniversary function of the BJP 2.0 coalition government, held at the Agartala Town Hall, MP Biplab Kumar Deb issued a stern reminder to party workers. Despite the recent alliance with Tipra Matha, he cautioned against complacency, emphasizing that opposition forces still exist in the state.
During the event, Deb underscored the importance of seeking input from the people of Tripura for shaping India’s future. The collective wisdom of citizens from all walks of life will guide decisions on policies and initiatives.
Reflecting on the BJP’s journey, Deb harked back to the period from 2014 to 2018, when the party’s struggle was fueled by unwavering belief. As the 2024 Lok Sabha elections approach, he urged party members to maintain that conviction. Contrary to misconceptions, the BJP’s alliance with Tipra Matha doesn’t render opposition parties obsolete. Deb clarified that the BJP must actively participate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Taking a critical stance, Deb criticized the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) and the Congress, asserting that their existence in Tripura has nearly vanished. According to him, the Communists prioritized ideology over the welfare of Tripura’s people during their 25-year rule, resulting in a meager budget of 14 thousand crore rupees presented by the Chief Minister with 35 years of experience. In contrast, the BJP-led government, in its 6-year tenure, has presented a budget that is twice as substantial.
Employing sarcasm, Deb invoked the symbolism of Lakshmi and Saraswati, suggesting that prosperity blooms when wealth and knowledge unite. Regrettably, the Communists lacked both. In contrast, Tripura has flourished under the BJP’s governance, gaining recognition beyond its borders.
As the state gears up for the Lok Sabha elections, Deb rallied the people to cast their votes resoundingly. He emphasized that a strong mandate for Narendra Modi would fortify the nation’s leadership. Deb’s call to action: defeat opposition candidates by a margin of 1 lakh votes.
Additionally, the Tripura Pradesh BJP organized the Bharat Modi Ki Guar event today .
