Agartala: Feb 17: As the Lok Sabha elections draw closer, administrative efforts are in full swing to ensure a smooth and efficient electoral process. Recently, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Soumitra Dhar visited the district headquarters in Uttar Dinajpur’s Dharmanagar to assess the preparations and oversee the final arrangements.
IGP Soumitra Dhar conducted a comprehensive review of the administrative setup, focusing on election-related logistics and security measures.
On Saturday, an important meeting took place, bringing together officials from various security forces, including the Police, Border Security Force (BSF), Tripura State Rifles (TSR), and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The discussions centered on deployment strategies and strict search protocols during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
IGP Dhar plans to visit multiple police stations and closely monitor operations at naka points. His presence ensures that law enforcement personnel are working effectively and adhering to established protocols.
Recognizing the significance of well-prepared officials, the police administration has organized training sessions at different levels. These sessions cover deployment procedures, search techniques, and other essential aspects related to election security.
With the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for 2024, these meticulous preparations aim to uphold the integrity of the democratic process and safeguard citizens’ rights to vote.
