Agartala January 31: Minister Bikash Debbarma visited the hostel of Mahila Mahavidyalaya on Wednesday afternoon. On inspection, he witnessed widespread irregularities. Suffering from lack of cleanliness and built at the expense of crores of rupees, many valuable items of this hostel are seen lying unattended. The minister spoke to the students of the hostel.
Later, while facing the media, he said that out of 100 seats in the student bus, 50 seats have been given to the female students of the dental college, and the remaining 50 seats will be reserved for tribal students. The hostel has had manpower problems for the past two years. He has also come to know by talking to several problem students. He said that the engineer of Janjati Kalyan Department has been instructed to solve the problems of the hostel within the next 10 days.
