Agartala, January 12: Measurement through digital methods is a complete, reliable and important part of business and consumer level. Minister of Food, Public Procurement and Consumer Affairs Department Sushanta Chowdhury said this at the auspicious opening ceremony of the newly constructed office of Legal Metrology Branch in Teliamura today.
On this day, he said, as a customer, the importance of accurate measurements in every field in our daily life is immense. No product can be of quality if its every component is not correct. So making people aware about this issue is very important in the current context.
According to him, if it is possible to ensure the same international single use at every level of the product production and distribution system, the work of trade facilitation will be accelerated. The modern world cannot be imagined without the use of accurate measurements in the dynamic world. It is very important for consumers to be aware and tactful in purchasing any product. A consumer must object to adulteration of food products and reduced weight and size. In the development of the country and the state as a whole, along with public awareness, personal cleanliness of customers and product sellers is an important issue. Accurate measurement of any product plays an important role in controlling the quality of that product. So measurement is very important.
He also said that our Consumer Interest Affairs Department is working tirelessly to ensure the provision of products and services in the right measure along with getting open information to the customers by converting the traditional method of measurement to digital to protect the interests of the customers in our state. Our country’s beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always laid emphasis on building ‘Digital India’. Measurement through digital methods is a complete, reliable and important part of business and consumer level.
