Agartala, December 26: Police recovered dried cannabis worth half a crore from the secret chamber of the lorry. On Tuesday, a smuggler was arrested with this cannabis in the Churaibari police station area on the Tripura-Assam border. On this day, based on secret information , the police started searching the car at Naka Point of Churaibari Police Station. A stash of marijuana hidden in a secret chamber. Police recovered 47 packets from this secret chamber. It contained 250 kilograms of cannabis. Its estimated market value is Rs 50 lakhs. In the incident, the police arrested the owner of the car, Surjit Mazumder. Preliminary investigation revealed that the ganja was being transported from Agartala to Guwahati. The police did not find the source of the production of marijuana. From Agartala to Churaibari, at least a dozen policemen have passed through the nose of the ganja and then went to Churaibari and got caught. Police of Churaibari police station have started searching for the rest of the accused with a case under NDPS section.
