Agartala, December 25:Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha participated in the Christmas celebration on Monday at the Santi Rani Church, the oldest in the state, located in Mariyamnagar on the outskirts of Agartala.
During the event, Saha visited the church, offered prayers, and joined the cake-cutting ceremony alongside Ratan Chakraborty, the former Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly and an elected MLA from the area.
Addressing the gathering, CM Saha emphasized that Jesus symbolizes light and peace, contrasting with those who choose darkness to disrupt peace.
He urged people of all religions to coexist peacefully and actively engage in the ongoing development initiatives.
Saha highlighted the government’s commitment to transforming Tripura into a better place for its promising future and is working with and for all.
