Agartala, December 6: The largest constitution in the world is the constitution of our country. Dr. BR Ambedkar drafted this constitution keeping in mind the people of different languages, caste-religion of the country. Every word of the constitution is equally relevant today. Today in the premises of Tripura Legislative Assembly unveiling the statue of Constitution maker Bharat Ratna, Dr. BR Ambedkar. Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha said, today is Dr. BR Ambedkar’s 68th Tirodhan Day, commemorating BR Ambedkar’s life philosophy and struggle, his memorial statue has been erected in the Assembly premises. The Chief Minister said in the event, Dr. BR Ambedkar’s life is an institution.
It has been developed through various setbacks. The way he worked for the backward people of the country is still relevant today. The work he did for the backward people of the society became a social movement. This social movement was earlier, but after the current Prime Minister assumed office in 2014, the movement gained more momentum. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi following BR Ambedkar’s philosophy of life, he launched various projects for the socio-economic upliftment of the backward people. The Scheduled Caste Welfare Department of the State Government also deserves appreciation for the schemes it is implementing for the backward people of the State.
On the occasion, Tapashili Caste Welfare Minister Sudhanshu Das said that some great people have been born in the world who are remembered for their deeds among these Bharat Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar is one. Dr. BR Ambedkar guided the country through his actions. The government is working to take the state forward by following Dr. BR Ambedkar’s thoughts. Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Vishwabandhu Sen, said that the present state government has taken the initiative to pay tribute to various sages and prominent people by installing statues. Assembly premises The installation of Dr. BR Ambedkar’s statue is definitely a relevant initiative. Principal Secretary BS Mishra and Director Asim Saha of Tapashili Jati Kalyan Department were present on the occasion.
