Agartala November 25: Due to earlier enmity, miscreants opened fire at the house. The police rushed to the spot and recovered the pistol along with the bullet. The incident happened around five o’clock on Friday evening at Shaktipad Pal’s house in Barajala area of the capital.
It is known that the miscreants came in front of his house on a scooter in the evening and opened fire in his living room. The miscreants later fled the scene. Shaktipada Pal, the owner of the house, alleged that two people named Rakesh Roy and Pintu Debnath of Manipuri Para had opened fire. Police received the complaint and raided the house of Pintu Debnath and arrested him. The other accused went to Rakesh Roy’s house and raided it, but the police could not arrest him. However, the police recovered two bullets of 7.65 mm pistol from his house. NCC police investigated the incident under the Arms Act. Meanwhile, Pintu Debnath alleged that he was involved in a controversy about the game a few days ago.
Two days later, a bomb was thrown at the house. A complaint about the matter was reported to the NCC police station. For the past two or three days, he had created a buzz among the locals in Barajala market that the police would arrest the accused in that incident. In the meantime, on Friday evening, the shooting continued again at the house. But he said that he has no enmity with anyone in the area. And he is not involved in politics. Still, he is quite concerned about why this event was organized. However, there is no news of casualties in this incident.
