Agartala October 30: Former Minister Sunil Chandra Das passed away on Monday. He was also a strong Congress leader. He passed away at the age of 78 at his home in Kumarghat due to old age.
The state Congress condoled the death of the former minister. Condolences were also expressed to the sons and daughters of late Sunil Chandra Das. The Pradesh Congress said in a statement that he was a devoted worker of the Pradesh Congress. And he has discharged his duties in the interest of the people, the statement said. Minister Sudhanshu Das, MLA Bhagwan Chandra Das along with former MLA and Congress leader Dibachandra Rankhal, Satyavan Das, Tarun Saha Samal Bhattacharya rushed to his residence after hearing the news of his death. Besides, Swapan Kumar Vaishnav, Mintu Chandra Das from CPIM ran to the leadership of various political parties. Along with this, the shadow of mourning also fell in the political circles.
