Agartala, October 19: Although under control, the hostile movement in Tripura is not stopping. However, it is not impossible to catch them in the police activity. Tripura Police managed to nab one such NLFT enemy accomplice based on tip-off. Yesterday police arrested a local resident NLFT enemy associate Pabitra Jamatia (38) from Killa area in Gomati district. His job was to arrange for training of innocent people from Tripura to Bangladesh. The police handed him over to the court yesterday. The court sent him to jail till October 23.
According to police sources, on September 20, Pastri took 4 Janjati boys from Tripura to a militant base in Shilachari area of Khagrachari district across the border from Raishyabari with the lure of a package. They were made to understand that they would get government assistance only if they surrendered to the militant base in Bangladesh for a few days. But, after going there they are forced to undergo 2 months of training. As a result, three of them fled to Tripura.
As soon as the matter came to the notice of the police, the security forces started searching in various ways to trap the holy congregation. Pabitra has returned to Tripura, the police arrested him from his home in a raid yesterday based on information from secret sources. He was produced in court yesterday. The court sent him to jail till October 23.
