Agartala: Sept 11: Clashes between BJP and Tipra Motha workers became heated in Jampui Jala and Takarjala. The incident happened on Monday afternoon. The pre-scheduled programme of the ruling BJP party was to hold an executive meeting organized by the takarjala Mandal Committee at Bukrui Community Hall adjacent to Jampui Jalla Block on Monday afternoon.
Accordingly, BJP party workers and leaders have been campaigning in Takarjala and Jampui Jala areas for some time now. Many activists of Tipra Motha had barricaded the Takarjala and Jampui Jala roads to prevent anyone from the BJP party from coming to Bukrui Community Hall for the executive meeting on Monday.
However, some activist supporters defied all fears and entered Buckrui Community Hall. As per the pre-arranged programme, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Rajib Bhattacharjee and Sepahijala district north president Gauranga Bhowmik entered the Bukrui community hall and started the executive meeting by lighting the lamp. Rajib Bhattacharjee said at the executive conference that the Bharatiya Janata Party organization meetings are always held.
On Monday, there was an action conference organized by Takarjala Mandal. The main purpose of this executive conference is the Lok Sabha elections in the next few days. Takarjala police station OC Rathindra Debbarma and a police constable and nine BJP workers were injured while trying to stop the violence between the two groups. Each of them was taken to Takarjala Primary Health Centre. A large number of police forces were deployed.
Takarjala and Jampui Jala roads were blocked. Biswajit Kalai, MLA of Takarjala Assembly Constituency rushed to the spot. He blamed the workers and supporters of the BJP party because of them or because of these attacks. On the other hand, the BJP party has alleged that Tipra Motha party workers have deliberately attacked BJP party workers to disrupt the meeting of the party’s functionaries. From Jampuijala to Takarjala to Hariapara, the press is heated with counter-attacks and counter-attacks, complaints and counter-complaints.
