Agartala: Sept 03: As the number of ruling BJP MLAs has gone down to 32 in the 60 seat assembly along with vote share to only 40 percent due to non-performance, poor economic conditions and deteriorating law and order, BJP has threat for survival and so by hook or crook want to win both seats in the by-election.
The entire cabinet including the CM and top BJP leaders are campaigning for these two candidates as it and ruling party always have advantages in by-election.This fight is being democratic forces led by CPIM and undemocratic forces under BJP.
Spirit of INDIA block is also prevalent in Tripura – against the undemocratic forces. Congress and TIPRA Motha campaigning on their own at grassroots in both seats and it will have huge impact. In last six months nothing happened that people of Bakshanagar will vote for BJP and in Dhanpura due to division of vote and mass rigging last election CPIM lost but after winning Pratima Bhowmik had resigned and so the public are not happy. Moreover, this time Opposition is united in both seats and so CPIM candidates are going to win.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah calling Pradyot Kishore for a meeting is a type of trick and not going to affect rather people and the Motha not happy with what has been happening since last six months as the situation has further deteriorated and so voters are getting prepared to vote against BJP.
Condition of the tribal section of people of Tripura which for long was under Communist rule is much better than that of any BJP ruled states including Gujarat.
2018 and 2023 election due to some temporary issue ( Tipraland demand) the tribal vote did not manifest in favour of CPIM but people are now realizing their mistake of bringing BJP to power.
Role of the umpire (election commission) is vital and hope in the by-election will be free and fair.
