Agartala: July 19: The budget for the financial year 2023-24 was presented in the Legislative Assembly on July 7. Later it was passed through discussion. But some political parties coming out of the assembly are misinterpreting the budget. Some say 2 percent of the money has been allocated for the people, while others say 3 percent.
Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Ratan Lal Nath criticized it in a press conference on Wednesday. He alleged that some political parties are misleading the simple people to cover up their failures. It is very reprehensible. They are acting like knowledge sinners despite knowing everything. He says it is Kaptachari. The minister said that people are constantly joining the BJP in different parts of the state. It continues. They are coming back after realizing the mistake. Minister Ratan Lal Nath gave information about the allocation for the people in the budget and said that in this year’s budget, 5608 crore 72 lakh 67 thousand taka has been kept in the sub plan for development.
The minister claimed that the money that has been kept for the people in the budget this year is an all-time record. After the BJP coalition government came to power in the state, in the 2018-19 budget, money has been reserved and spent for the people by 38.40 percent. Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that in 2019-20, 39.52 percent was spent. Janjati Morcha leader Rampad Jamatia was also present in the organized press conference.
