Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman met with the Chairman of Tripura Public Service Commission on Monday and demanded for inducting permanent residency certificate of Tripura beside knowledge of local language Bengali or Kakborak mandatory as eligibility criteria in all exams conducted by TPSC.
The Opposition MLA sighted that TPSE in its recent floated advertisements regarding recruitment to the post of Veterinary Officer and Agriculture Officer for the Tripura government with both having the same pay matrix but for one of the post PRTC with knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok has been published as an eligibility criteria while in another it is not.
Barman demanded for an amendment in the advertisement already published and to ensure that PRTC along with knowledge of local language Bengal or Kakborak be made mandatory for procuring any government jobs in Tripura in future so that the local unemployed youths can get advantage out of that.
