Agartala March 27: The second day of the Thirteenth Legislative Assembly session was rioted by terrorism. The opposition party CPI-M, which could not discuss terrorism on the first day, on Monday brought the issue of terrorism to the attention of the principal and sought a response from state home minister Dr. Manik Saha. At the beginning of the meeting, on behalf of the opposition party CPIM, the leader of the assembly party Jitendra Chowdhury brought up the issue of Vishalgarh Nehal Chandranagar incident. Opposition leader Animesh Debbarma drew the attention of the principal and said that what Jitendra Chowdhury wanted to say should be heard. Tipra Matha also wants to know about this. And he said that even though the issue was celebrated in the assembly for two days, why this issue is not being allowed to be raised. He said that reports on terrorism can be submitted to the court, but it is very important to give the opposition a chance to speak in the Assembly on terrorism. Then Principal Biswa Bandhu Sen said that there is no opportunity to ask questions in this day’s session. In view of this, MLA Sudhanshu Das from the Tragery Bench said why there was no demand from the opposition party CPIM regarding questioning in the BSC meeting. Then again, Minister Ratan Lal Nath threw a question to the CPIM and said who has imported terrorism in the state? Ratan Lal Nath attacked the opposition party CPIM on the issue of terrorism and those who were killed in the state of Tripura before and after the elections organized from 1993 to 2023.
He said that even after ruling the Congress and CPIM governments in Tripura for a long time, they did not take any initiative to make Tripura a model state. Only their party leaders have increased their personal wealth. He did not want to make people independent. But today the current government wants a Tripura to build a better Tripura. He said that the people of Tripura state have made them a third party today because of this type of government of CPIM. They don’t even have an opposition party post. On this day, Ratan Lalon attacked the opposition party CPIM and said Jiten Babura learn to love the country. Be a statesman. Sudip is not in the session today. Ratan Lal Nath sneered that the remaining two who are in the session for the Congress will also be of no use. Besides, Tipra Matha’s party brought up the issue of Principal election and said that Tipra Matha’s party has rubbed the Congress and CPIM in the face.
Meanwhile, in view of the governor’s vote of thanks speech on the first day of the assembly session, deputy leader of the opposition party CPIM, Shyamal Chakraborty, said that after the election results, 85 houses were completely burnt by the miscreants of the ruling party. 97 shops were completely burnt. Hundreds of motorists are unable to get on the road. An undeclared state of emergency is going on in the state of Tripura. Even 35 affected houses filed false cases against the people of the house and filled the law cup. So the governor’s statement cannot be supported, he said.
