Agartala March 20: Chief Minister Healthy Childhood Healthy Adolescence Campaign – 4.0 district wise launch started from Monday. On this day, Mayor Deepak Majumdar held the official launch at Arundhati Nagar Community Hall of Ward No. 39. District Health Officer, Councilor and others were present on the occasion. The district health official told the media that on March 18, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha formally launched the fourth phase of the State-based Chief Minister’s Healthy Childhood Healthy Adolescence campaign in Sabroom. This program has been started in all districts from Monday on a district wise basis. This program will continue till March 28.
From today till March 25, Asha workers and health workers will visit all educational institutions including schools, colleges, Anganwadi centers and provide services for this campaign. Then from March 25 to March 28 those who will not come under this service in educational institutions will be given this service at home. Intestinal worm infections, vitamin A deficiency, childhood diarrhea and iron and folic acid deficiency are a concern for human health. These deficiencies hinder the child’s nutritional intake and the child or adolescent suffers from malnutrition and anemia. Besides this, their physical and mental development is disrupted. CM Healthy Childhood-Healthy Adolescent Campaign 4.0 to keep children and adolescents healthy, develop their nutritional, physical and cognitive abilities.
Through this campaign, children and adolescents between the ages of zero and nineteen will be given medicine. Children and adolescents who have not taken deworming medicines, vitamin A supplements, ORS, zinc tablets and other medicines will be given medicines at schools and Anganwadi centers. Deworming Day program will provide deworming medicine to boys and girls aged 1 to 19 years. The vitamin A supplementation program will provide vitamin A supplementation to boys and girls aged nine months to five years. Iron acid tablets will be given to children aged 10 to 19 years of the state under Iron Folic Acid programme. ORS and zinc tablets will be distributed to boys and girls aged zero to five years to prevent diarrhoea. Nutritional status will be determined by measuring the weight and height of boys and girls aged zero to six years as part of the Poshan Abhiyan. TD-16 will be given to boys and girls of 10 years and 16 years of age.
