Congress made the ultimate sacrifice in support of opposition in Tripura assembly elections. Senior Congress leader Sudeep Roy Barman made this claim after taking oath as a newly elected MLA today. However, even if the election was defeated, the war was not over, he said.
According to Sudeep, the vested interests of the opposition political parties have stood in the way of achieving the expected victory. His sarcasm, thinking that it would be possible to achieve majority alone, some political parties considered themselves to be the only ones to form the government. But, that thinking helped the BJP in the end. He claimed that the Congress in Tripura will continue to fight against the BJP for the welfare of the people. Not only that, but will move forward with a positive attitude.
To be honest, the BJP managed to win only seven seats with a good margin. In the rest of the seats, the BJP took advantage of vote-splitting. He claimed that my premonition about BJP was correct. But, the split vote of the opposition led the BJP to win the election. That result was unexpected and we will soon review the election failure. He sarcastically said that this is the first time in the history of Tripura that a party has formed the government with only 38.97 percent votes. More than 60 percent votes went against BJP.
