Agartala March 15: As previously announced, MLA Binay Bhushan Das took oath as the pro tem Speaker of the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday. Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya administered oath to Binay Bhushan Das at Raj Bhavan. It is to be noted that after the announcement of the results of the Assembly elections on March 2, the members of the Council of Ministers have already taken the responsibility of their respective offices after taking the oath. This time MLA Binay Bhushan Das took oath as Protem Speaker of the Legislative Assembly following the rules.
Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya administered the oath to Binay Bhushan Das at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. The ceremony started with the recitation of the oath by playing the national anthem. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Finance Minister Pranjit Singh Roy, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath and other members of the Council of Ministers were present. State Chief Secretary JK Sinha along with other administrative officials was also present. Panisagar MLA Binay Bhushan Das assumed the duties of the pro tem Speaker of the Legislative Assembly by taking oath on this day. At the end of the ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha felicitated Naya Protem Speaker by handing over a wreath. BJP, CPIM and Congress MLAs will take oath in the Assembly on Thursday. Thirteen MLAs of Tipra Matha will take oath in the Protem Speaker’s room on Friday. Protem Speaker Vinay Bhushan Das will read the oath to them. It is learned that Tipra Matha party MLAs will take oath on Friday.
