In today’s parliamentary party meeting, MLA Pratima Bhowmik proposed the name of Dr. Manik Sahar as Chief Minister and he was unanimously elected as the leader. Meanwhile, today, Dr. Manik Saha has submitted a demand to Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya to form the BJP government. Newly elected MLAs were present with him at that time. In addition, the MLA of the coalition partner IPFT Shukla Charan Nowatia, BJP Pradesh Pravari Dr. Mahesh Sharma and state president Rajeev Bhattacharya, North Eastern coordinator Sambit Patra and MP Revati Tripura.
Newly elected MLAs started coming to the election office of BJP at five o’clock today. 32 MLAs of BJP participated in that meeting. The swearing-in of the new government will be held at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala on March 8. Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives for the swearing-in ceremony.
