Agartala: Feb 27: CPIM workers are victims of post-poll violence. The incident took place in Nehal Chandra Nagar Rishi Para area of Bishalgarh subdivision. According to the details of the incident, miscreants pelted stones at Ratan Sutradhar, a CPIM activist, while returning home on his bike on Sunday night.
When he fell from the bike, Ratan was severely beaten by miscreants. Somehow he left the bike and ran away from the spot and took shelter in a house around eleven at night. Ratan informed the family about this after returning home in the morning. The injured CPIM worker Ratan was immediately taken to the hospital. Later, Ratan’s family filed a case in Bishalgarh police station. Their further complaint may be the political issue behind this incident. Now it is to be seen if the police can nab the miscreants. This incident has created a lot of excitement in the Kamalasagar assembly area.
