Agartala: Feb 13: Five BJP workers were injured while returning home from the Union Home Minister’s road show. They were not saved even after entering the police station. BJP workers had to be beaten in front of the police. This incident took place on Sunday night. According to the details of the incident, when BJP workers of Narayanpur area were returning home from Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s road show, 150 supporters of CPIM led by CPIM leader Debashish Bhattacharya carried out a deadly attack in front of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan School. The BJP workers ran away from the scene and went to the airport police station to save their lives and were beaten up in front of the police.
Later, three of the injured were brought to GB Hospital and two were sent to ILS Hospital as their condition was critical. Prasenjit Mallick is in critical condition among the injured. All the injured have marks on their faces and heads with various weapons, including knives, said the area MLA Doctor Dilip Das. He went to GB Hospital to inquire about their physical condition. On this day, the MLA opened his mouth against the police and said that miscreants are walking around with pistols and sticks in front of the police.
