Agartala: Feb 11: A mobile worth Rs 20 lakh 90 thousand was seized late on Friday night. It is known that a bolero car bearing TR 01 D 3812 on the way from Agartala to Sonamura was searched by the officials in charge of the election of Bisramganj Taxapara. There was a mobile worth Rs 20 lakh 90 thousand in that car.
The owner Jamal Miah tried to take gold illegally by completely evading taxes. It is said that he could not show any documents after being detained in the car. The car along with all the seized mobiles was seized and taken to the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office. Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Magistrate Binay Bhushan Das said that they tried to illegally take the mobile phones to Sonamura by evading tax of more than seven lakh rupees. What is surprising about this incident is that there are seven naka points from Agartala to Swatganj and doubts have arisen as to how they were crossed.
