He said, there is a difference in ideology and political program with the Congress and will remain so in the future. But, all the secular parties are united in protecting democracy and establishing rule of law.
Similarly, the state Congress president Birjit Sinha also claimed that the Congress is the arch rival of the CPM. But, we are united by the urge of time and human liberation. According to him, the bike army has usurped democratic rights. A suffocating situation prevailed in Tripura. Hence, the Left Front and the Congress united for the greater good. He claimed that people will forget their differences and unite in the elections. Meanwhile, AICC general editor Zarita has asked the Election Commission to answer several questions. He said, opposition is not being allowed to hold meetings. Allegations of violence are pouring in, but no action is being taken. He asked for answers to all the questions that opposition is being taken away from campaigning rights, Election Commission will take necessary measures.
Today CPM State Secretary once again sought help from Tipra Matha to defeat BJP. He claimed that an attempt was made to reach an understanding with Tipra Matha. Therefore, his request is to vote for the opposition BJP in those seats where the chances of winning are bright. He also added that the secular democratic alliance has brought the BJP to zero.
