Agartala: Feb 05: Pradesh Congress published a manifesto for the people of all sections including law and order, health, education, workers and farmers with emphasis on the needs of the people. Congress leader Sudip Roy Barman announced the manifesto at a press conference organized at the Pradesh Congress Bhavan on Sunday. Congress had a completely different manifesto from the Left Front.
Announcing this manifesto, Sudip Roy Burman said that law and order will be controlled, laws will be amended to stop corruption, free health services for the poor will be introduced in government hospitals, super specialty system will be expanded, electricity up to 150 units will be provided free of charge. MLA Sudeep Roy Barman said that 50,000 rupees will be given as financial support for the marriage of daughters of BPL families, war against drug addiction will be declared. He told 10,323 sacked teachers that a realistic solution would be taken for them. Families’ of late sacked teachers will be covered under this facility. Addressing the unemployed, Sudip Roy Barman said that vacancies in government offices will be filled regularly. And in the next five years, 50 thousand unemployed youth of the state will be provided employment. And the opportunity of out-of-state unemployed will be closed in Group C and Group D posts in the state. Special packages will be arranged for the people. Special measures will be taken for affected chit fund customers. In this, the property of the chit fund will be sold and the money will be returned to the victims. Mr. Burman announced several promises that the irregular employees will be regularized as per the rules. Congress leader Sudip Roy Barman also said that the manifesto has been published respecting the sentiments and needs of the people depending on the issues of the people, this manifesto is not for passing the election campaign. He also said that people should come out. Because in the coming days, people will have to secure their rights and save democracy, he said.
