Agartala: Jan 28: A devastating fire broke out in Cooperative area near Panchabati in the airport road in Tripura’s capital Agartala on Friday late night, gutting eight to ten shops including a showroom of electric three wheelers.
No person was reported to be injured in the blaze. Though the actual reason of the cause of the fire is unknown but firefighters said preliminary investigation suggested short-circuit as the possible cause.
Six firefighting engines brought the fire under control were totally gutted in the fire informed a firefighter official Dipak Debbarma. Meanwhile, local MLA Dr Dilip Das who on getting the information rushed to spot spoke with the victims and assured them an enquiry and assessment of the damage will take place so that the government can help the victims.
