Agartala: Jan 22: With less than a month for Tripura to go for the general assembly election campaigning is on the peak here.
On Sunday opposition CPIM campaigned for the coming election at Khayerpur area where the party during last five years time allegedly could not go for any political programme due to the fear of the ruling party.
Speaking to NEL CPIM state secretary and former MP Jitendra Chowdhury said that last five years time period democracy was murdered as jungle Raj was going on here.
He claimed that those who want democracy and development in the state are joining with his party and hope that in coming election to be held on February 16 people will bring a change in Tripura for saving the constitution and peace.
Chowdhury alleged the BJP along with the whole country has also destroyed democracy and the constitution in Tripura and CPIM will restore democracy and rule of law in Tripura.
In Tripura CPIM and Congress which were the opponents for several decades has come together as main united opposition in this election in Tripura against the ruling BJP here. Meanwhile, BJP termed the opposition alliance as unholy.
