Agartala: Jan 08: Twipra Students’ Federation (TSF) observed black day across Tripura in memory of the incident of police firing on protesters opposing the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill on this day in the year 2019 at Madhabbari.
TSF members wore black ribbons and with black flags raised slogans and condemned the incident in which all total seven including six tribal youths and one security personnel were injured in skirmish and police firing on that day there.
During the incident at least 21 shops owned by both tribal and non-tribal section of people, most of them poor and lower middle class, were totally gutted in the fire but allegedly none from the authority visited or took any step to access their loss or compensate.
