Agartala: Jan 06: The state government has decided to appoint regular assistant professors in colleges to enrich, popularize and make Kakborak language reach more people in higher education and facilitate Kakborak speakers. Accordingly, 22 degree colleges have offered 18 assistant professorships. They have been appointed through TPAC.
After that they will be posted immediately. Minister Ratan Lal Nath said this at Secretariat press conference on Friday. A scheme called Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan was launched in the state in 2009-10. In FY 2018-19, SSA and RAMSA schemes are included in the entire education campaign. 228 contractual teachers previously employed in Ramsay are currently in the state. So far they were getting monthly honorarium of 26 thousand 730 taka. The Education Department has increased this monthly honorarium by Rs. 30,740. Contract teachers have been given an honorary increase of Rs 4000 per month. This decision will be effective from April 1, 2022. This salary of the last nine months will be added together and paid to them. For this, the state government will incur additional expenditure of Rs.1 crore 11 lakhs. He presented this information in Secretariat. Colleges have had PGT for a long time. Many of them have SLATE, NET and Ph.D.
They have not been recognized as assistant professors so far, despite their qualifications for working as assistant professors. In this regard, five people have been recognized as assistant professors a few days ago. On Friday, the Department of Higher Education recognized 16 more people as assistant professors. Five others have this qualification. Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that recognition will be given to them by creating posts in the coming days. The state government launched the target scheme to encourage the boys and girls of the state to participate more in the competitive examinations. So far four people have taken advantage of it.
One of them succeeded. His name is Shatabdi Majumdar. Shatabdi Majumdar, a resident of Teliamura, has been appointed as an IS officer. In this regard, Minister Ratanlal Nath announced to increase the one-time financial assistance from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh to further encourage the children.
