vIn the coming assembly election of Tripura to stop BJP, Congress is going to form alliance with the main opposition party CPIM so that the anti-BJP voters can be consolidated, hinted Congress AICC Tripura incharge Dr Ajay Kumar speaking to NEL.
He thought did not openly speak regarding the prepoll alliance but said the effort to bring together of secular democratic parties together is ‘just a trailer’ of what is going to happen in the coming days.
“We are here to fight the fascist forces and people of Tripura should fight for their rights,” said Dr Kumar adding, “All people who are fed up of BJP, want to come in a common platform. What will that look like that the local leadership of Tripura shall sit and decide said the senior Congress leader adding that it is only the trailer and the picture is yet to come.”
Recently Congress and CPIM leaders were seen sharing same dais beside five Left parties including CPIM and the Congress jointly appealing to the people to come forward cutting across political identity, religion, caste and community to raise united voice against this misrule of BJP and to make an end to “this black regime”.
The Congressman said this during the celebration of 138 foundation day of Indian National Congress in Agartala in presence local senior leaders.
He said, “We will continue to struggle and fight for the rights of people of Tripura. India and Tripura is going through a difficult time. In Tripura there are no jobs. Things are become so expensive just before the New Year as Modi has gifted us with another rise in milk price, so common man is suffering and the only agenda is Hindu Muslim.”
He said that under Modi government the jobs left for even the highly educated youths in India are either Ola drivers, Swiggy food packet delivery person or in Blue Dart courier delivery service.
Dr Kumar added, “They (BJP, RSS etc ) are trying to destroy the legacy of Congress. Somebody calls Modi as the father of the nation, others call Mohan Bhagwat. BJP has so many fathers but we have only one father of the nation – Mahatma Gandhi. Why BJP needs so many father, they should not keep so many fathers. tomorrow they will make Amit Shah another father father of the nation.”
On the day Congress paid floral tribute to its founder and top leaders and also hoisted the party flag along with the flags of its various organizations.
