Agartala: Dec 24: “In 2018, when the people wanted to get rid of the agony of a long-standing monogamous government, the Bharatiya Janata Party was installed in the government with 299 promises to the people in various ways. But so far out of 299 promises, not a single promise has been properly fulfilled by the Bharatiya Janata Party government. This promise was just to get through the electoral process. Promise is only a document of fraud, nothing else”, MLA Sudip oy Barman said this during the four-hour mass stand on behalf of the Tripura Government Employees Federation in front of the Pradesh Congress Bhavan on 16 points on Saturday.
Sudip Roy Barman also said that the BJP understands that there is no other way to come to the government through thuggery. Seventh Pay Commission failed to fulfill its promises. As a result, the employees are angry. Maybe before the upcoming assembly elections a few percent want to come back to the government by paying dear allowance. Then for the next five years they will not pay any expensive allowance to the government employees. This is what Sudip Roy Barman said. He said the work culture has improved. All developmental work stopped. This government is immersed in corruption. And to come out of this situation, the fall of this government is necessary. And people are ready for the upcoming assembly elections. Barman said that the government will topple him.
“There is no food in villages and hills, people are spending days of starvation. As the prices of goods have risen abnormally, the purchasing power has gone beyond the reach of the people”, he said. Sudip Roy Barman said that the people of the state should be freed from this situation by overthrowing the dictatorial government. Sudip Roy Barman told the party workers to overthrow the ruling party and said that the people of the state are sitting silently. And after a few days, they said that they will take to the streets in Qatar to remove this fascist government.
State Congress president Birjit Sinha, former MLA Ashish Kumar Saha and other leaders were present at the rally. The present Pradesh Congress president told reporters that the Pradesh Congress supports the mass stand on the 16-point demand in view of the deprivation of teaching staff. The state Congress president called upon all the employees of the state to come forward and meet the demands in the mass stand. He also said that if the government is established, the salary will be implemented as per the report of the 7th Central Pay Commission for the benefit of the Congress government employees, and the outstanding 30 percent dearness allowance will be paid. He also said that the demands will be fulfilled with utmost importance.
Former MLA Ashish Kumar Saha said that the BJP government cheated the state government employees the most. Seventh did not fulfill its promise to pay commission, did not take any action for irregular employees, also deprived in various ways. And today, even after this mass stand, the government will not respond until this government changes. Asish Saha expressed the hope that the new government will be established in the upcoming assembly elections and fulfills these 16-point demands of the organization seriously.
