Agartala: Dec 14: A one day orientation programme on Amar Sarkar Portal and Localization of Sustainable Development Goals, was organised by the Panchayat Department at Prajna Bhavan. Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha along with Deputy CM Jishnu Dev Varma and senior officials of the Panchayat department participated in the inaugural ceremony of the orientation programme of the portal.
The main aim of the portal is to provide a time bound grievance redressal to the rural people who can upload their complaints along with photos. Generally any complaints are to be resolved within four days time at the panchayat level and if not then it shall automatically be referred to the higher levels – block, district or secretary.Moreover, the whereabouts the grievances are redressal can be monitored at all four levels beside the public also known about the progress using a mobile app.
The main aim of the initiative of the state government is to extend governance till the doorstep through the portal ‘Amar Sarkar’ (My government) in order to fulfill Localised Sustainable Development Goals (LSDG).The Amar Sarkar portal, was launched on November 17 this year, has already seen 1976 issues registered in less than a months against 9715 issues registered in the previous four years.In his address at the orientation programme of ‘Amar Sarkar’ portal and Localised Sustainable Development Goals, CM Dr. Manik Saha today said his government is focused on ensuring all welfare schemes benefits actually reach people instead of being limited in slogans and seminars.
He said that the present government work to ensure all welfare schemes and benefits reach poorest of the poor people as it believes in the slogan Sabki Yojana, Sabka Vikas. The CM viewed that there is less time but the government aims to reach 100 percent saturation point and for which the administration and legislators have to be very proactive in raising and resolving issues faced in villages.
Meantime, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma said that the ‘Amar Sarkar’ website is mandated for problem resolution in the far flung villages using technical inputs.
He viewed that technology is not only for towns and cities but PM Modi have been emphasizing on using technology for benefit of the last person in society who can’t often access sub division or district headquarters. He also said that the present government does not accept mere growth and infrastructure development as true development as it is not sustainable rather it has to be localised to usher in true development through poverty alleviation by enhancing livelihood in villages beside turning the villages healthier, child friendly, water sufficient, clean, green and self sufficient providing social security to the villagers through good governance and engendered development.
