Agartala: Dec 03: A citizen who illegally entered Tripura from Bangladesh was detained. The locals arrested the Bangladeshi citizen who came illegally and handed him over to the police of Kailashahar police station. Police produced the Bangladeshi national in the Kailashahar court on Saturday. In this regard, it is known from the police that on Friday night, the people of the village became suspicious after seeing an unknown person roaming in Murthychara village panchayat area of Kailashahar.
Then when the villagers asked this person, his speech was found to be very incoherent. The police of Kailasahar police station were arrested and informed. The police got the information and went to Murthychara village and arrested the person and brought him to Kailasahar police station. After a long interrogation by the police, the detained youth admitted to the police that he is a citizen of Bangladesh. Murthychara village crossed the international border between India and Bangladesh and entered India illegally.
His name is Kamal Uddin, of Gonagaon area of North Adampur under Kamalganj police station of Moulvi Bazar district of Bangladesh. The OC said that a specific case has been filed in Kailasahar police station in this regard. In the last few days, 10 Bangladeshis have been arrested in Kailasahar. But what is the secret behind this has created a great sensation in the public mind. A fair investigation by the police may reveal the main reason for the illegal entry of Bangladeshi nationals into Tripura.
