Agartala: Dec 03: With the initiative of GDC of Khumulwng a mega Sachcha Bharat Abhiyan programme has been conducted here in Khumulwng today. Aiming to generate clean and tidy surrounding of the GDC as well as the 71 battalion HQ premises, roads and Khumulwng stadium the Khumulwng government degree college girls hostel aithority has organized this mega cleanliness drive programme in collaboration with the 71 Bn CRPF of Khumulwng HQ today. Sources said that total 70 students from GDC girls hostel and 100 CRPF jawans from 71 battalion CRPF have taken active part in this cleanliness drive programme. Addressing the participants Maharani Hrangkhawl, (professor & hostel superintendent) said, “We are fond of clean and tidy environment. To generate healthy surrounding of our institutions as well as residences it is our fundamental duty to keep the atmosphere hygienic to prevent diseases. Clean and hygienic surrounding is appreciable & comfortable to all of us. To keep our mind and body fresh & healthy we must keep our atmosphere neat & clean.” Among the distinguished volunteers there were P.K Mishra, deputy commendant of 71 Bn CRPF, Maharani Hrangkhawl, assistant professor and additional charges of Hostel superintendent of government degree college of Khumulwng and many others remained present in the programme.
