Agartala: Dec 01: The Opposition CPIM took out a rally in Agartala today to protest against yesterday’s alleged attack on its supporters at Charilam in Sepahijala district by ruling BJP supporters and in which one CPIM supporter was killed.The CPIM protesters demanded immediate arrest of those involved with the attack.
They also demanded that police immediately handover the body of CPIM supporter Sahid Mia who was killed yesterday. The protest rally started from Paradise Chowmhuni area and went through the streets of the capital city.
The protesters later blocked the road near Orient Chowmhuni area in the city for an hour during the busy period which disrupted the traffic in the city. The protestors also maintained a minute silence to pay respect to the deceased CPIM member whose funeral service was held today at his native village in Uttarmura in Charilam in Sepahijala district.
