Agartala: Nov 28: More than 600 appointment letters in various departments were distributed among eligible candidates during a ‘Rozgar Mela’ held on Monday in Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala. The employment letters covering both government and private sector were distributed by Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Industry & Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, Labour Minister Bhagaban Chandra Das, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha and others.
Addressing the gathering the Chief Minister claimed that the present government is working towards keeping its commitment of providing employment and earning sources to every household so that people of the state can live happily. He said that transparency is being maintained and only the deserving candidates are getting the jobs. Dr Saha said, “We are focusing on creating entrepreneurs and job creators and not job seekers.”
He said that government job is not an answer towards resolving the unemployment issue rather emphasize is being laid upon upgrading skills through training youths to make them competent in market driven jobs. This is the second job fair in the state and only a week back a similar job fair was organized in the BJP headquarters here where appointment letters were distributed among selected candidates in various central security forces and agencies.
Today’s initiative will be a significant step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s continuous commitment in providing job opportunities for the youth and ensuring the welfare of citizens who have shown an optimistic view of the drive. As per the directions of the Prime Minister, all Ministries and Departments are working hard towards filling up existing vacancies against sanctioned posts.These recruitments are being done in mission mode by ministries and departments either by themselves or through recruiting agencies and selection processes have been simplified and made tech-enabled for expeditious recruitment.
