Agartala: Nov 28: The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya authorities at Ramchandraghat organized the annual sports competition under the scorching sun. This annual sports event includes 600m and 200m races for girls among other events. It was seen that shortly after the completion of the race, one student after another fell ill and fell on the ground.
A total of 14 students fell ill and were taken to Khowai District Hospital. The parents of the girls rushed to the hospital after getting the news. However, the teachers of Navodaya Vidyalaya do not want to open their mouths about why the students fell ill. Initially, Naboday’s teachers prevented the media from taking pictures. Later, after the number of sick students increased, the teachers ran away from the hospital premises. This is the complaint of the parents. The sick students complained that the race started in the hot sun. After first running 600m and 100m they are asked to run again. As a result, they allegedly became very tired and sick.
Meanwhile, the doctor said that they fell ill due to overtiredness. Currently, the girls are undergoing treatment. But he said that the students did not get sick from any food. Although the students feel uncomfortable, they are forced to play in the annual sports competition by the organizers of the event. Again such complaints are coming from the parents. Currently 14 students are under treatment in the hospital. Meanwhile, the parents have demanded that the education department should properly investigate the matter and take appropriate action against the school authorities for such lack of responsibility.
