Agartala: Nov 20: The BJP and IPFT coalition government was formed in the state with the dream and hat that the 7th Pay Commission will be announced in the first cabinet of state government employees. But the government has not fulfilled its promise to provide the seventh pay commission. As a result, government employees and retired government employees of the state have suffered greatly during this period. Speaking at the one-day state-based convention of the Tripura Government Employees Federation, Sudip Roy Barman criticized the current government.
The government understands that 30 percent government employees of the state will not vote without getting their dues. So the government can pay about 8-10 percent DA employees as election bonus with the money received from finance commission. Even then, the state employees will be deprived of a lot of money from the central pay scale. So Sudip Roy Barman appealed for the employee society not to fall on their trap again. He also said that this government has not taken only one decision against the employees, it has taken several decisions and the irregular employees would have been given a chance to become regular if it had been 10 years earlier. But the current BJP coalition government has withdrawn even this opportunity. It does not tell the people of the state what new decisions have been taken. As a result, he expressed the opinion that the future of those who are currently irregular employees is hanging towards uncertainty.
Besides, on this day, he promised the government employees of Tripura by pulling Himachal Pradesh. He also said that once the government of Himachal Pradesh is established, the old pension scheme will be introduced because this demand is being raised by the government employees from all the states in the entire country. So the government has made this promise in Himachal Pradesh before the elections. The government is walking towards how to accept the votes of the unemployed. And two months before the election, they are trying to give jobs in the wrong way in various government offices in a hurry like the left. As a result, the current government is following the same path as the then government was caught in the law by giving jobs. The biggest issue is that many qualified youths will not get jobs with JRBT results. Then they will be forced to sue again. So this government is not in the interest of the people of the state. They don’t want to hear about removing human suffering. He strongly opposed it. Former state Congress president Gopal Roy, former MLA Ashish Kumar Saha, Congress leader Harekrishna Bhowmik and other leaders were also present in the convention.
